This is one of our shorter cruises departing at 1200 hrs and lasting approximately one-and-a-half hours. It gives you the opportunity to see the beautiful scenery of the upper reaches of the magnificent River Weaver between our berths at Acton Swing Bridge and below the Anderton Boat Lift. Souvenir guidebooks are available on all our cruises for £5.00
PARKING: As there is no public parking available at Acton Bridge, we operate a Park & Ride coach from Anderton Boat Lift car park (CW9 6FW) to take you to the Danny at Acton Bridge, that way your car is waiting for you at the end of the cruise. The coach will depart from Anderton Boat Lift car park at 1115 hrs . Parking charges are payable at Anderton Boat Lift.
Please note that access from the Danny berth back to the car park at Anderton Boat Lift is via a steep, step-free, path to the visitor centre and car park at the higher level. This may prove challenging to those with mobility difficulties.

ANDERTON BOAT LIFT – SUTTON WEAVER SWING BRIDGE 14TH JULY 2024 FEATURING MUSIC FROM TOP MONKEY
Cruise departure time from Anderton Boat Lift Berth is 1400 HRS - cruise duration approximately 4 hours and our coach will be waiting for you at Sutton Weaver to return you to Anderton Boat Lift car park
On this cruise you will depart from below the Anderton Boat Lift on a picturesque cruise along the River Weaver, taking in the magnificent scenery whilst being entertained by local duo Top Monkey, featuring songs by The Beatles, Snow Patrol, The Beautiful South, Oasis, The Kinks, Abba and many more - you're sure to have a very enjoyable afternoon!

Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge to National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port via Runcorn Bridges - includes coach transfer to the Danny at Sutton Weaver (park at Ellesmere Port)
The journey will take approximately 3.5 hours as you travel in steam powered, Art-Deco splendour from our berth at Sutton Weaver to Marsh Lock and out into the Manchester Ship Canal to the Danny’s old home at Old Quay in Runcorn and Weston Point Docks, where all the Manchester Ship Canals tugs used to berth as it was their maintenance depot. We will pass under the viaduct and through the Jubilee Road Bridge (known locally as the ‘Bird Cage’ due to the number of starlings nesting there)! We will then turn and make our way back down the Manchester Ship Canal to The National Waterways Museum at Ellesmere Port.
We will be operating a Park & Ride from the car park at The National Waterways Museum, Ellesmere Port to take you to the Danny at Sutton Weaver. The coach will depart at 1115 hrs in time for the 1200 hrs sailing. Your car will then be there for you at the end of the cruise.
