The tranquillity of the riverside setting and the warm welcome of the volunteers and their passion for the Danny creates a safe and peaceful environment. Groups of older people overcoming social isolation, young people with isses around mental health and anxiety and groups of families with a member with autism, learning differences or social and emotional challenges have found that the Danny provides a very special atmosphere where people relax, make connections with the vessel, the crew and each other, and get a feelgood wellbeing boost as a result.

We are very pleased to welcome groups on board, and to organise a session to meet their needs, ranging from guided tour round the vessel, to a number of learning activities to choose from, to a lightly structured art session. We charge £60 to cover our costs, and run the sessions for 90 minutes. We will be offering more sessions to families in 2020 through our partnership with CHAPS (Cheshire Autism Practical Support) but we welcome any enquiries from group leaders who feel their members could benefit from and enjoy a session on board. Email [email protected] to enquire about availability and to discuss the needs of your group.
