Important News about our cruises in 2021

We have had to make some important decisions regarding our 2021 cruises and have now announced changes to our 2021 timetable. 

We would like to thank everyone for their patience, we have been working hard behind the scenes to find a way forward in 2021 and offer a timetable to suit our passengers and our wonderful volunteers, and we are finally able to announce our NEW 2021 Timetable – so please visit us and Celebrate with The Danny this year!

 

We have, of course, considered all the requirements with regards to COVID and we are keeping on top of Government guidelines as they change, but we have also had to consider the condition of The River Weaver following the recent storms and we have been consulting with The Canal & River Trust. 

 

Following on from Storm Christof in January, the Rivers Dane and Weaver experienced very high water levels and subsequent flooding.  Significant parts of the infrastructure along the waterways were damaged. The Canal & River Trust is working very hard to rectify problems on the Weaver Navigation and has committed to carrying out vital works to enable us to operate this year between Sutton Weaver and Acton Bridge.  Whilst we are unable to sail to the Anderton Boat Lift this year, the Canal & River Trust has indicated we should be able to return there in the spring of 2022, once the remainder of their works are completed.

 

Our 2021 timetable will now operate from July.  Regrettably, this means all our May/June cruises have now been cancelled – Anyone booked on these cruises is entitled to a full refund, or can transfer to a new cruise. Our original July – November cruises have now been either cancelled or rearranged – Please take a look at our new timetable to see if a cruise date still suits you and we can arrange a transfer or refund. We are really looking forward to finally cruising and we very much hope we can welcome you aboard the Danny very soon.

 

We are also able to offer private hire of The Danny whilst static for £250 per hour whilst at Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge – please email us with any dates required and we would be happy to check availability and make a booking for you.
