MCA Certificate and Training Update

Part one of the MCA inspection took place yesterday which involved the close scrutiny of the vessels safety management code, alarm systems, safety equipment, practical engine movements forward/astern, testing boiler pressure relief valves and further practical drills including rigging emergency steering and the Man Overboard recovery.  The inspection was successful and we now await a date for part two which takes place on the river.  Congratulations to the Crew and reserves who worked long and hard!  When both parts are successfully completed the MCA will then issue us with our passenger licence.
